aVinci Resolve Studio Server Not Connecting via Playit.gg Tu

Hi everyone,

I’m currently setting up DaVinci Resolve Studio Server with a PostgreSQL database, and I’m tunneling access using Playit.gg. Everything on Playit.gg seems to be configured correctly—but DaVinci Resolve refuses to connect when using the Playit.gg public IP giving an "Incorrect credentials" error. However, connecting using the local ip works just fine.

Setup Details:
Davinci Resolve Project Server PostgreSQL running on linux Docker (local machine)

Playit.gg tunnel forwarding TCP on port 5432

PostgreSQL bind address: 127.0.0.1 (also tested *)

Playit.gg set to tunnel from 127.0.0.1

DaVinci Resolve Project Server Dashboard configured with Playit.gg public IP (if i change this to the local ip it works)

Issues:
DaVinci Resolve won’t connect using the Playit.gg IP for project sharing.


Firewall rules allow traffic on TCP 5432, and PostgreSQL logs show no blocked attempts.

Has anyone successfully configured DaVinci Resolve Project Server with a remote tunneling service on local hardware? Is there a specific network requirement DaVinci needs that Playit.gg doesn’t provide? I've also tried tailscale which also seems to not work no matter what I do
