RTX 5090 Magic Mask, Tracking Issues etc.

Hey Team,

the new Rtx 5000 Series seems to be quiet buggy, the magic mask and the trackers in fusion doesn't
work properly.

I previously came from an amd card, did a DDU on the system and waited for the neural engine optimization. Still nothing works but i guess its on nvidia and they're disastrous launch and drivers recently.

Is there any kind of work around for magic mask ? This was always my bread and butter . Should i just wait for an update (which cant come soon enough) or bite the bullet and plug back the amd card until fixed ? Thank you.

I have m1pro, 4090 and 5090 on my hand and did a few tests on MM2 with or without neural engine on and off.

m1pro and 4090 ran just fine with or without neural engine on. The difference is the speed.

The 5090 with neural engine on was quite buggy when using AI related tools. I had to disable it in order to do my job.

I think there are 4 factors to be considered.

First. the 5000 serie card itself could be faulty.
Second, the 5000 serie Studio driver is not polished enough.
Third, DR 20 is still on beta.
Forth, Windows 11 update. I had windows 11 ran update today and all issues are gone, DR runs flawless.

Nvidia haven't updated the studio driver since April 16th and DR 20 is still in beta.

Time will fix everything, I guess.

Resolve 20 is no longer in beta and I'm also having this issue. Anyway "AI" in Resolve seems broken for the 5090. Unfortunately....

thanks for the reply @MiouLi turning of neural engine in beta did the trick for me

@baronlanteigne for the full release of 20 i updated to the new nvidia studio driver which fixed the issues for me. its still not that fast and sometimes it glitches out but all in all its workable now. try the new studio driver out. hope it fixes it for you.
