Media pool is blank but a clip is in the timeline

PostSat Jun 07, 2025 1:12 pm

I'm DR 20. I dragged a clip directly into the media pool and I tried to use import via the file menu. But the media pool is still empty. I drag the same clip onto the timeline and it plays fine but it still doesn't show in the media pool. I'm still at the stage where chances are it's human error. But I'm kinda stuck, cuz I wanna generate captions but there's no timeline to right click on.

Can you see the clip in the media page, media storage section, and play it on the viewer?
Can you then drag it to the media page, media pool and play there?

If no to both of these, please detail the clip info.

Would you make a screen capture video of this happening and attach it here after uploading to, say, YouTube? Preferably with you narrating what you’re doing?

It's a miracle! I just opened it again and both the timeline and clip appeared in the media pool. I'm wondering if I opened the beta version by mistake. Thank you for your responses. I think you fixed it.
