Project Load window - problem with long file names?

I've just started using Resolve Studio v20 and there is a problem with some older projects as they appear in the Project Load window.

These projects are in a folder one level deep from root.

Five of about thirty projects have longer names than the others and they are displayed in the details view with:
Project name: [Appears to be normal]
Date Modified: [Blank]
Date Created: [Blank]
Timelines: 0
Format: -1 x -1
Frame Rate: -1

In the thumbnail view of the Project Load window these five projects appear without an image thumbnail and have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in their lower right icon corner.

Right clicking on the file name does not give the option to Load the project, but does offer Rename and Delete.

The thing these five problematic projects have in common is their names are longer than the projects that appear normally.

Up to 114 characters in the name (including folder path) looks normal.
116 characters and above in the project name displays with the problem described.

I'm reluctant to try renaming any files at this point in case writing to them causes other issues.

I did a search but couldn’t find any similar issues mentioned on the forum.

Is this a known issue?

Those are broken projects. Every project needs to have a format (eg Resolution) and Frame Rate.

I copied a project to the new name of "longnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongnamelongname" (160 characters) and Davinci opened it fine, so the filename is a misdirection.

Can you share drp of the projects? I feel Support would like those.

Mads, you could be right about the long names not being relevant to the issue, but all the affected projects have a longer name than all the projects which appear to be ok.

The projects are from Resolve v17 or v18, so if the project database was updated or converted to a v20 format then that may be another possible factor.

In your test I assume you copied, renamed and opened the file within the same Resolve version?
