Fusion interface and 4k Monitors

PostSat Feb 14, 2015 12:57 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and a long time user of Fusion, I'm glad to see new life being breathed into the beast.

I'm wondering if the Fusion interface is 4k monitor ready? I have just purchased said monitor and it seems that Fusion is just scaling itself and not utilising the new available resolution. I have looked in the forums for anyone else who may be having the same issue but I don't see any reference to this problem. My Adobe products are all playing nicely.

Are there any work-arounds or trouble shooting suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike.

Fusion does not scale anything based on the DPI of the display, no. I have been working on a large 4K monitor for the past year or so and haven't had any issues, though. On a 4K 15.6" laptop, though, I could imagine it would be a bit hard to grab some of the smaller UI elements.

right clicking on the icon, under compatibility, there is an option to scale for high DPI displays.
Turning it one will give you tiny UI elements, and off will get it looking the same size regardless of DPI.

The only issue is the UI is a bit 'soft' using that method.

Rony,

Is there anything else required? I'm not seeing any effect from enabling or disabling that.

Not that I can see, I just un-check it and it doesn't scale it anymore.
oh wait, I have run as administrator checked, not sure that will do anything through.

On a similar note... I'm currently running Fu 7.7 Studio on a 4K display as well and found that I can only use the handles in views properly with a mouse but not with my wacom.
Effectively, I can grab the right element with the wacom, but any further movements (i.e. to drag or scale) seem to be off. This doesn't happen with the mouse.

Did anybody else experience this?

Cheers,
Mike

I was having the same problem with my new 2560x1440 Dell monitors and after trying everything I came across this solution:
http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/28310-dpi-scaling-size-change-displays-windows-8-1-a.html
Now everything is looking fine.
Do let us know it this also worked for you.
