Yes i uninstalled (and not reinstalled) all the new OFX plugins i had installed since the last time i used Resolve. I also updated NeatVideo to the last version.
Resolved used to work with OFX plugins. It is Fusion Lite that doesn't.

That was apparently correct.
I uninstalled all OFX plug-ins and restarted Windows. Resolve initialized correctly. In my previous post i said that after uninstalling all OFX plug-ins the problem remained but after a Windows restart, Resolve didn't return that error message again.
For everyone else who has the same problem i checked the following:
OFX Neat Video 3.6 OFX Frischluft LensCare
...and they are NOT causing the problem. So don't bother uninstalling those.

I have this same issue. I had Universe in there and thats it. Uninstalled Universe and resolve, reinstalled just Resolve. Same problem even though there are no OpenFX plugs.
Btw I found something regarding this issue... In case someone needs it... I uninstalled plugins and it didnt help. Then I realized its probably because of some cache or something like that. There were no plugins in the system anymore but still the same bug.

I simply deleted this file and it solved the problem. Next start was OK and Davinci created a new cache file for itself.
This is what worked for me. I actually still had the Resolve window open (Not Responding) then went into ProgramData and deleted the file and immediately Resolve snapped back to life. Thanks so much for this!
Hello I'm getting this problem about OFXeffects disabled too.
When I'm on the color panel then click the OFX button, resolve crashes. I deleted Resolve and re installed it, same problem. I'm using the version I purchased from the App Store. V 12.5 OS: Mac OS Sierra.
In the Library I cannot find an files/ folder to delete that people are talking about above.
I just had this problem with DR14.3 & Win10Pro. I tried removing all the OFX plugins (located in Program Files>Common Files>OFX>Plugins), relaunching DR only to find the same problem. So I put the OFX plugins back in.
After launching DR again, I went to the color page, clicked the OpenFX button in the upper right, and, as usual, it appeared as though DR crashed. But it's not crashing; it's loading the OpenFX plugins (what we might regard as "slowly"). After a couple minutes of letting it sit (longer if you have a lot of OpenFX plugins), Resolve came back to being functional.
In your Google searches, you'll also see some folks talk about deleting the OFX Cache File (C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support). That may or may not work for you. In my case, I didn't have that file because OpenFX never loaded for me (my DR install is recent).

Dave Harrison. I believe you are correct. I had the same problem and after selecting ENABLE on the OpenFX tab and just waited...Now I'm good. Thanks!!
