A tweak to a particle setup

PostFri May 29, 2015 8:53 pm

I've been following the "Eyeon Fusion Particle System Primer" tutorial on YouTube. The second half has a setup for creating a simple floating photo gallery using a pEmitter set to bitmap . However the tutor sets it up in a way that it isn't a continuous stream of particles - it animates only a set amount generated in in the fist few frames.

I'm trying to figure out how to work this same setup so that it will continually stream the bitmaps, but I need a little help.

I know there is a more complex tut where Image Planes are assigned to Background nodes, but the simplicity of this one makes it more attractive.

This should answer your question:

When set to bitmap style you have the option to animate the particle at "Particle Birth Time".
If you input a sequence of images and set the emission rate to 1 this will generate exactly one unique particle texture per frame.
