Fusion 8 OSX bug report

PostSun Aug 30, 2015 5:33 am

Hello!

Thanks for the awesome work porting Fusion to Mac!!!!

Here are a couple of bugs I noticed since I started playing around with the Beta release:

1)Scrolling in the tools parameters pane: I've had a couple of instances were the parameters extended beyond the screen and while the scroll bar was showing on right hand side, I couldn't scroll down. Restarting the application solved the problem.

2)Frozen tool nodes: I'm a nuke user so I'm not sure this is a bug or if I accidentally hit some shortcut, but on a couple of occasions my tool in the flow view would just freeze and show a red dot next to the output port. I don't know what the red dot means but when this happens I can't move, modify parameters, or even delete the tool node(the tool is not locked or anything, I double checked that). This happened a couple of times with a variety of nodes but I noticed it happens after I disconnect the node in question while Fusion is rendering. If I create a new comp, I don't have any issues in the new comp but the old comp remains the same.

Another bug(at least on my system): the catcher3D node crashes fusion everytime it's connected to any shape or mesh object. It seems to work when in 2D view but the moment I switch to 3D view(or if I was already in 3D view ) and I connect the tool to any material input Fusion just crashes.

Answer the easy one.

Catcher should go into replace material node. As it becomes the material for that 'catch'

Ok, as for the red dot, that can be a lot of things. First, can you look into the console tab, and see what the error is?

Get back to me on that, and we can move forward, help you get this resolved.
Don't worry about UI, it's not baked yet.

I had the same red dot issue this morning. I solved it by simply deleting 2 merge nodes that had the red dots and adding new ones. However, I realize this would not be a perfect solution if something like a complicated animated mask was the node that had red dots.
