C4d Motion Track to Fusion

PostTue Nov 10, 2015 5:54 am

Best way to get a Motion Track from c4d into Fusion? I can export the scene as an fbx and get the camera move. I cannot however get the trackers (nulls) to import with it. The import dialog in Fusion provides an option to import nulls but I can't seem to get them into fusion.

Haven't tried the 3D Tracker from C4d, in Fusion yet, but I had a lot of issues with C4d to Fusion using FBX. Try using Alembic. You need to change your film back on your imported camera once the Alembic file is imported in Fusion. You need to change Resolution Gate Fit: from "Height" to Width" then your camera will align with how it does in Cinema.

Let us know how it goes, I've been interested in trying this, just haven't gotten around to testing it.

ugh, it's not going well. .abc files just crash fusion. It did open one of the files and I didn't see much difference from the .fbx import. I still can't seem to figure out how to import trackers (nulls) from C4D. That's what I'm interested in.

Thanks for the help. Let me know if you give it a try.
