FUSION 8 DNxHD ON WIN BROKEN?

PostMon Jan 18, 2016 10:18 am

Hi.

Since going from F7 to F8 Beta3 DNxHD (mov) can be read, but not export (see screenshot from rendered DNxHD - same as source). On The same machine DR11 running without that issues.

Is this a knowing bug or is it just me?

Thanks for help,
Dany

I saw these artifacts in After Effects renders of DNxHD/HR before, this happens when the output is set to "Trillion of Colors" in the export.

So what are your real settings? I know "Same as Source" only from the Avid, no idea how well this works in Fusion to be honest. I'd have a look at the source-file (after all there are not many options what kinda file it could be) and set them manually.
Yet I wouldn't think about it that much, I'd either do 175/185/220x (depending on which Framerate you are on) because this is the smallest setting that allows 10bit, and if quality matters (because this can get a bit blocky) the DNxHD 444 is a no-brainer to use.

Re: FUSION 8 DNxHD ON WIN BROKEN? *SOLVED

SOLVED

Thanks for replay! With "same as source" i mean "Keep Colorspace & Normal Exportmode". If DNxHD set to 100% quality and automatic depth the render is broken. If i set the depth to 64/32/8 bit the render work fine.

Still no idea how to set different DNxHD bandwidths, but for the moment it works.

Thanks again,
Dany
