Ambitious Idea - How can I do this? (pics)

So my idea is simple.

Not sure IF I can do it. I'm quite novice but I've made some convincing stuff previously.

It's meant to be fairly futuristic and I want the bike to have some flames coming out the exhaust in a believable way... (can get some convincing fire particle effects going)

I want it like this blue flame....

Then I want the particle effect to come out of the exhaust pipes (track the red tail light) all the way down the hill off into the distance.

Any ideas on the best way to get this to work... - I have made a track of the tail light and made a torus 3d shape emit particlese in fire type of manner but I'm having trouble getting it to track and follow and scale itself along the track line... I don't even know if I can do this in fusion...




Have I bitten off a bit more than I can chew? If it's a bit of a big one please link any tutorial videos out there that might give me some answers

here it is...

so on start up, maybe a cough of blue flames with some grey smoke... I wish I had the skill to nail this... still feel like someone might be able to point me in the right direction... if it's not 100% convincing I'll just leave it as is....

along the lines of these....

I just had an idea as opposed to particle effects - I'm going to buy a blow torch - film it in the dark and then use a mask to cut it out and track it over the bike - .... hope this works....

pipe up if anyone has any better ideas....

Trying the blowtorch is a good idea anyway. If only for reference purposes.
If you make it dark enough, maybe you don't need to use that many masks, since you can just 'add' the footage in the merge.

If you have access to a blowtorch: go for it.
Tracking that very dark motorcycle won't be easy, but on the other hand if you make a small mistake it won't be easy to see either.

Remember that to make it convincing you also have to create interactie lighting on the road as well.

Also: can you upload the footage to someplace like dropbox or something so we can actually download it.
It's difficult to make a test with Youtube footage, since you can't import that into Fusion.
