Scaling - Neb question

Hi.

I have comp in 3k that i have done but need to output in 2k with some scaling.

While comping i had to move some plates off from centre a bit.
Now in final stage i put letterbox or resize in front of output node.
What i would like to do is have my 2k work area and position and scale my
3k result as i need it to be visually but it seems that i'm missing something in workflow.
Just scale in front of resize does not work.

Any help or pointers are appreciated.

You could use a crop tool at the end of your chain set to 2K and then add a transform tool in front of that. This will let you animate the scale and position of your 3K elements.
