How to reimport all custom compositions and settings in BIN

PostTue Jun 14, 2016 9:26 am

After a clean install Fusion doesn't recognize everything that I've saved while working by selecting nodes and dragging them to the Bins manager (Ctrl+B) to compositions on localhost.
After a clean install I just copy them to the same location: C:\Users\Eugene\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\Fusion\Settings And of course, when I open Fu's Bins they are all empty!
So how to reinicialize those folders?

Did you back up your bins before uninstalling?

Sure thing!
I even created all of custom fuses and macros publicly, mostly for myself cause I kind of tired of going on the forum and each time and searching and downloading each tool one by one. So I've collected all useful (and not) tools on my google drive: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... sp=sharing
But I've already found the solution: I went to the bin manager selected a folder and RMBed on an empty space to choose Add Item...
And I happen to discover that I even could add some footage there, that's a tone of helpful, it's like power bins in DaVinci Resolve!
But still the question is how to tell Fusion of a new installment (even if it's another PC) to look in to watch folder automatically or some sort of a config file that stores the folder's content information(if in the same folder the content has been already copied (maintaining the folder structure, of course))?

That's the .library files. You can edit them externally if you wanted, or you can read/write them using fusionscript. There is no "watch" folder, but you could scan a folder and add filtered contents to the .library. You can open one up in a text editor to see how they are structured.
