Video clip won't show in timeline

HI guys

i was wondering if there is an option to see the original video you import in your timeline

i read the manual but nothing seems to solve the issue and also some of the pictures in the manual point out that you can see the video in the timeline



the clip is 84 frames /24 fps/ JPEG sequence

the workflow would be to use a loader, point it at your sequence or movie file.
That loader is now "showing" the original video clip. There is no conversion taking place.
To view it you would have to select it and assign it to one of your viewer windows. Default is the number 1 or number 2 button.

The only time you won't "see" it, is if it is in a format Fusion doesn't recognize.

if you mean to see a thumbnail in the timeline view/tab there is no such option (afaik).

this is what i don't get... in the manual it shows an example of the loader being found in the timeline and it clearly shows

but when import a clip in my workflow it doesnt show...it's not anywhere in the timeline but it is there in the flow

clearly there is something im doing wrong...is it in the settings of the imported video (which i doubt) i am willing to try anything i just need this to work

Have you clicked open the camera-arrow? Since you're feeding the imagesequence into the 3D camera maybe the clip is hidden 'inside' the camera line?

I've never seen this happen, but to be honest I hardly ever use the timeline, so I could be mistaken.

Michael & Sander, i finally understood what was the problem:


inside the timeline there are some options

click"all tools" > unchecked the "animate" option


if the animate option is checked it will hide anything that does not have an animation, therefore it wasn't showing
