Different out points

PostWed Oct 19, 2016 7:05 pm

Hello, i'm new to Fusion and i'm trying desperately to transition from AE so maybe this is a no brainer.

I'm in the midst of a project where i have to key out a LOT of footage and put it in a CG environment.
I have so far keyed everything and i'm having a bit of a problem.
The footage files vary in length from say 80 frames to 480 frames. I have rendered a CG background in Cinema 4D that is 500 frames long. I comp it all together and connect a saver to save out the individually comped files but every file is now 500 frames long since it's the length of the background.

I should also say that the background is a node tree where i have connected an autodomain node and a wireless node to be able to place it in each key.

Is there a way to 'crop' the length of a clip before or perhaps in the saver?

Hi David,

Sven created a killer script for this, the hos_SaverLister:

http://www.steakunderwater.com/wesuckless/viewtopic.php?t=278

It displays all your savers and you have the choice of enabling / disabling and setting the in/out render range.

Thank you very much!

I'm new to Fusion though and i'm using Fusion 8 on mac.
I've tried copying the script into the scripts/comp folder but i can't see the script anywhere. Is it perhaps windows only?

For fusion 8 the file extension needs to be ".lua" and not ".eyeonscript" anymore
