Fusion 8: German keyboard - frame forward/backward

PostMon Oct 19, 2015 6:10 pm

Hello everybody,
I try the new Fusion 8 rc2 Beta and everything works great, except the keyboard layout. I have a German layout and when I try to navigate a frame forward or backward, it doesn't work. When I change the layout to English, it works.

In Fusion 7 I can use the German layout, there I use the last two keys after the numbers: ß and ´. Of course the arrow keys are also not working.

Have this change in Fusion 8? I think I try all keys, without a solution.

Have a nice evening!

With beta 3 I think they'll reimplement the keyboard shortcut configuration again so you can remap these shortcuts to work with your particular keyboard. And as a Swede I understand your annoyance over this, so many applications have broken shortcut functionality for those of us using non en-US keyboard layouts. :P

Hello Johnny,
thank for your answer! That would be nice, if this will change in Beta 3! For me is no so much important, witch keys are for frame forward and backward, as long there is a key :). I use a ShuttleXpress, this I can configure as I want it.

I got the same problem here. The 'old' keys( ß/`) are not working anymore and apparently there are no others key responsible for next/back.

I would remap, but when I fire up the hotkeymanager, the console says:
...ckmagic Design\Fusion\Scripts\Utility\Hotkey Manager.lua:20: attempt to call method 'GetHotkeys' (a nil value)

any ideas/workarounds???
thanks!!!

the old hotkeyManager script doesnt work anymore and fails because there is no more hotkey file stored.

use the new one under "view->customize hotkeys"

It does not work. The Time Ruler Shortcut can't edit......

from the Manual:
Code: Select all
To move the Playhead in the Time Ruler using the keyboard, do one of the following:
>>Press [ to move 1 frame backward.
>>Press ] to move 1 frame forward.

Press [ doesn't work with non US keyboards it is on Alt-Gr 8 ....

I waiting also for a solution.

do the following:

    1)open fusion
    2)under view select "customize hotkeys"
3)now go to the frame section
    4)"new"
5)now mark the "enter keysequence" field and press the key(s) you want to assign
6)now choose from "actions", e.g. "Time" and the "Step Forward"
    7)hit "ok"
8)repeat until all shortcuts are set as you wish

the "previous frame" option is to switch between open comps/tabs

you should look for "step forward"/"step backward"

Okay this works :)

"previous frame" option is to switch between open comps/tabs; Frame seems a new definition for comps/tabs :?
