Color Match with Color Checker (X-Rite)

PostFri Feb 10, 2017 4:49 pm

Do we have something for color-matching using Color checkers? Something like this: http://www.marcomeyer-vfx.de/?p=88.

Resolve's chart matching isn't deterministic and gives some very strange results for the times I've used it. I like the theory, but it's a black box that doesn't always work and when it doesn't it gives the user zero options to adjust it.

I mean inside Fusion. Sometimes we have on-set materials with color-checker, and 3D renders with X-rite checkerboard. You know, it is pain in the ass to match those shots inside Resolve, and then compose them inside Fusion. That's why I'm interested in something similar inside Fusion only.
