These will be amazing! I just modified my own manual fd lenses and work really hard to get these flares, but this kit should be perfect. The only thing is they are a little too high mm for the crop sensor of the BMCC. I wish they had a wider than 24mm one.

Be aware that lenses subseptable to flaring may not be the best choice for the BMCC.

I find that full frame 35mm still lenses on the BMCC tend to flare much more on this camera than the same lens on a 5DmkII or even a 7D. I believe by using a full frame lens on such a comparatively small sensor allows way too much light in the camera body by virtue of the much larger image circle that they project around the sensor.

I think that adding some form of black flocking (tape or cloth) to the interior of the camera around the sensor would cut down on extranious light contamination and improve detail. This might even help the quality of the lens flares that might be desired, as they would be more defined projections and not just blanketing the sensor with light bouncing around the inside of the body due to overspill from full frame lenses.

I found the same, tons of flares on the BMCC! I like them though :)

I like well placed flares too, but I believe with better light absorbtion in the interior sensor well, the QUALITY of the flares will be much better. Less white washout and more delicate spectral qualities. I've been planing a test to see how adding black velvet/flocking material around the sensor will help this. I'l bet that it makes a nice difference. If a lens is prone to flaring, the lens will still flare, you'll just see more what the lens is doing and less of the "light box mixing effect" that the sensor well is currently adding to the image.
