resolve 14 hanging on startup

Resolve 14 is set to open last project, unfortunately it is stuck on opening the project at 87% meaning I cannot use resolve at all! any idea how i can get back up and running? trash preferences?

Can you open the preferences file in a plain text editor (e.g. NotePad on Windows)? If so, you should be able to work out how to de-select the option.

Pending an official response -- this new feature seems to be causing the system to hang on occasion -- you might try going into the database and temporarily renaming the relevant project folder.

When Resolve attempts to load that project on startup it won't find it and should revert to the project menu, at which point you can select another project or create a new one.

Then, once Resolve is loaded, de-select the "load last project" option in the user preferences.

thank you for all your help, changing project name in database did the trick. the project is fine and no corruptions. still have no idea what caused it.

I know this is a fairly old thread but it's the first result that comes up when you search. Just echoing the original question and confirming the fix - 'open last project' was causing Resolve to hang on launch (at 0% for me). Renaming the project in Finder fixed it.

I hope BMD fix this soon. It's a pretty useful feature.
