Thanks guys. We are working on it. The focal length will be 10mm, 12mm, 14mm and 16mm. And the Canon lenses can be used for longer focal length

I'd be interested in buying a 10mm/F1.8 somewhere in 2014 when they will start shipping camera's to Europe... But seriously, nice to see other companies trying to bring new glass and stuff.

S-16 Lens don't cover the image. The sensor is almost 20% bigger.

Lens4B - that 10mm/F1.8 sounds great to me. Get that one out the door, and I think we'll all be waiting in line to get whatever else you deliver. Thanks!

P.S. - you don't mention if you're talking about EF, MFT, or both. Could you clarify?

At the Schneider booth..... that's incredible. (Referring to the post made in the other lens thread)

I'm hoping it will be at a lower cost bracket than the Cine-Xenar 3 range?

A 10mm F1.8 sounds incredible. Just out of curiosity, and of course, able to divulge, but would these be optics clearly designed for use on the BMCC, or other M43/S16 platforms, or would they be compatible with S35.APS-C formats as well?

Thanks a ton!

It is a new designed lens for black magic camera. The price will be attractive. It won't be compatible with S35 formats. Please wait and see.

Kudos for jumping into the fray. Will be great to have a choice between lens companies specifically addressing the BMCC.

Lens designers must be very precise and accuracy obsessed people. Too bad it doesn't translate into the almost endless ambiguity in the language they use in these posts. It would be less ambiguous to say "will be one EF lens to be used on both mounts with any adapter you choose for the MFT mount" or "will be a lens design for the EF mount and then another lens design for the MFT mount." Use your own words, but there's a huge difference in those two statements I suggested.

Apologies if I sound irritated but at least I am not only trying to encourage you to use less ambiguous language but Owen as well. If you both surprise us at NAB or similar industry exhibition, I respect your ambiguous comments here now since you want to save the thunder for a later day when you'll have the attention of the press.

I would hope there will be a lens designed for the MFT mount without an adapter as I have mentioned to Owen. I leave it to you if you want that MFT designed lens to work with a true MFT sensor or you want to make some very unique lenses that have image circles that only fit the BMCC sensor and gain some competitive advantage in a smaller market. Either decision comes with risks.

Esas lentes ya existen. Mejor pedir lentes especificas para el tamaño de sensor de la bmcc.

These lenses already exist. Better ask specific lenses for sensor size BMCC.

Thanks Rick for your input. I will make the lens for both EF and MFT mounts. It will have no adapter.
The lens will only fit to BMCC sensor. And the price will depend on quantity. But It will be very attractive.

Is this your ultimate BMC focal length list, or is this just what you'd like made that you don't have? I'm just curious because 15mm is clearly not wide enough to handle the variety of productions that one might encounter.

Thanks for the clarity and content. In my opinion, you are on the right track to deliver good value for the BMCC.
