Not to go into a conspiracy theory thing, but one does wonder if BMD somehow needed proof of thousands of pre-orders before they could get their own financing together to complete/develop/produce the camera.

I mean honestly a year after the announcement and most people havn't even seen the camera
let alone been told when they can expect to get one.

Do you read? Have you read all of Grant's updates? Do you know all the information publicly available before you write nonsense on this forum? No. Clearly you do not.

Grant has already stated they had $20million in parts/components sitting in the warehouse waiting for sensors to assemble the cameras. They did not need "proof", they had orders and are doing their best to fill them now that the sensor issue has been resolved.
