The reseller who claimed that it's "in stock" and where I have ordered one instantly, has now changed their website to "on enquiry"....

As soon as there is something simliar I'll cancel my pre-order, even if it's the double price. But I won't go for an 8-bit-Canon C XYZ plus Atomos Ninja...

I'll be in W.A. in April anyway, maybe I get one there ?

In the two months that I've had my 8-bit-Canon C XYZ without Atomos Ninja, it has totally paid for itself + an EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS + about a third of the BMC that I continue to w8 patiently for. March 3rd, it will pay for the Ninja 2 as well. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Good to hear that! Unfortunately my filming doesn't make any money, it does actually cost me money, but it makes me happy. I'm just fed up - more with the information policy of BMD than with waiting that I'd switch - and do my next film with something better than my 7D.

Trust me...my new 8-bit Canon C XYZ (with or without Atomos Ninja) is MUCH MUCH better than my 7D. Of course, I'm a vidiot and am not making films.

So you're still waiting as well Marc? Seems Texas is as forsaken as Germany ;)

While you embrace your C "xyz" for the time being I'll continue to rent either FS700 or Epic depending on job requirements... and I'm really liking the FS700 for all the "videoey" jobs so far... ;(

Yesterday I asked german Blackmagic distributor TELTEC if they have any news. They told me that they don't have any information how many BMCC cameras will arrive in the future and that they are unable to plan. But they hope that the situation will get better in the next few weeks. Me too!

Andi and other customers, I don't know if you will like the read this fresh news from German distributor:

"I just talked to the german distributor and they told me that they didn´t receive the 10 units per week (As promised in january).
They received 2 cameras last week and before this there was nothing delivered from Blackmagic.

Our distributor can´t tell any deliverytimes as they don´t know which amount of cameras will come in and when this will be."

German reseller Teltec reported yesterday on it's Facebook page, that they've received nine units yesterday! I hope that it will go on like this :D

sounds like a contradiction.. did you mean that the distributor or your reseller got 2 units? why would teltec get 9 units then

Yes Andi,

Marcotec told that on monday from a mail with the German distributor...
Maybe this German distributor received the 9 Teltec camera on tuesday!
Anyway, unfortunately, Marcotec didn't seems to receive more than THE demo camera :-(

Enjoy for this 9 happy customers from Teltec :-)

I just know (by talking to Teltec) that they ordered even before NAB 2012 (before the announcement of the camera). Thats why they're getting "all" the cameras in Germany. Before NAB they preordered about 150 units. But it still makes me wonder why B&H who probably preordered later are fulfilling july preorders.. (thats why adorama fulfilled far more preorders than B&H)

I read through all your information about the shipping, Christine. f.e. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4916&start=430

Still doesn't make sense to me why Teltec haven't fulfilled those early 150 preorders by now. (compared to Adorama and B&H for example).
Maybe you could just jump in and explain it for me.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Cameras are apparently distributed "proportionally" to each regional distributor. There is only 1 distributor for the whole of the EU, Africa and Middle east. There is 1 distributor for just the US. So basically the cameras have to be shared out so much that all the resellers in the EU, Africa and Middle east are only getting a tiny amount or none at all each week. Apparently this is fair and proportional.

I would have thought that if the distribution was truly proportional, then the size of the region wouldn't matter because the largest regions would get the most number of units. But this is clearly not the case.

Fortune smiled on me - a little too much :)

By a happy coincidence this week i had the chance to get a BMCC from am small shop in Germany - today the package arrived... One hour later i got an email from another shop where i pre-orderd in August that my cam is on stock.

Is anyone interested to buy my second BMCC? Unopend with invoice and VAT, located near Frankfurt.

So I hear from resellers that the cameras (Blackmagic 2,5K) are still coming in at a very low rate (about 10 a week)at the german blackmagic distributor.. Christine can you confirm that?

No volume improvements with shipping (with the old sensor)?
