Resolve 14 b6 masks are offset from 14b5 project

PostWed Aug 02, 2017 9:41 am

Hi.

I have this issue where manually drawn masks are somehow offset visually.
Mask representing lines are all moved left and moving them back shifts actual project correction right.

This issue appears also when i draw new masks.

Source is 7k red and timeline is HD.
Any fast solutions would be great.

Now the weird bit.

If if i turn timeline resolution to UHD it seems to fit again. In HD it just got lost and offsets wrongly. Seems like a bug to me?

I had the same issue with clips which are scaled to FILL and could solve it with this action:
1. Open the Inspector in Edit view.
2. Choose the clip
3. Inspector > Retime And Scaling: Change Scaling to Project Settings and then back to Fill (or whatever was before)
Then it should work. So in this way it is definitly a bug, or a missinterpretation of DaVinci from a XML Scale Value.

Having the same problem, using masks in fusion is impossible, it randomly shifts the picture.
Say changing the Soft Edge parameter, the picture is offset randomly or moving any handle on the mask, the picture shifts again.

It seems like this has to do with the position keyframes in the edit tab. I always reframe my shots using these controls in the inspector. Duplicating the clip, resetting the fusion comp and deleting the position keyframes in the edit tab seems to have solved it for now.
Man is fusion buggy, I really love it but these bugs are taking hours out of my days.

Hey, I realize this is an old thread, but I had the same issue today and figured out what my issue was. Hopefully this will help some people. I had an adjustment clip that was zooming and reframing the shot. If the adjustment clip was active, my mask appeared offset in the color tab. If I simply disabled the adjustment clip long enough to do my masking and tracking, it worked just fine. HTH
