Can't import h264 .mov Panasonic AG-UX180

Hello all

Apologies if this has been addressed somewhere before.

I'm a new user of Davinci Resolve 14 (14.2.0.012) and have fallen at the first hurdle.
The files streight off my camera, a Panasonic AG-UX180 will not import into resolve on my Mac. (High Sierra 10.13.1)
When I select the file, nothing happens. The finder window for selecting the file disappears and nothing appears in Resolve. Nothing happens at all with no warnings or messages from Resolve.
I tried converting to .mp4 and ProRes HQ but still nothing.
The original files are H264.mov

This is odd but must point to something really basic that I'm not doing since none of the 3 files will import.

The method I'm using is to right click in the media pool then select Import Media then navigate to the files.

Any help would be appreciated.
