HDMI output error from Extreme 2k/4K

I'm running Resolve 14.3 and Video desktop 10.9.11 on a High Sierra 10.13.2 and can't seem to get a propper HDMI output on both my extreme 2k and extreme 4k cards..

For some reason a can't get my receivers to accept my HDMI signal... tried everything.
Every video/timeline settings.. re-install of both resolve and video desktop..
The projector and a desktop monitor accepts the signal but not the receiver. I've switched receivers.. HDMI cables.. Still no signal..

I'm suspecting some kind of HDMI standard output error in the signal?
My timeline is set to 1080P.. and everything should be OK.. but it's not.

No copy protection with Resolve.

If you use the BMD Media Express app to play a clip, is that any different?

Strange -- I no longer have the receiver, but I could get video out of the gtx card to play through the HDMI ports of the receiver, but not from Decklink. With mini monitor input, it would play a few seconds, then go black, then return for a few seconds. Others reported the same in the Post Production forum (I think). Direct to the monitor was the only way.

It may be actually opposite.
As far as I understand HDMI in BM cards have no copy protection implemented (as it's not needed and optional in HDMI spec and requires additional licensing?), but some TVs may not work well if signal is not over protected link. Just a guess.

The only piece of HDCP compliant equipment was the receiver, and as already noted, the system's GPU video played fine through the receiver.

I'd guess there must be something about the Decklink output which is tripping up the receiver's digital rights management. But who knows.

I have this issue on Decklink mini monitor (seems to be a pervasive problem), but going directly into the TV has no symptoms, and yet going through receiver it blacks out video and audio randomly, yet using (ironically) Edius, the output through the receiver is fine. Note: I have two machines, with identical hardware setups except Win7 and 10, yet one blacks out and the other never does. The Win 10 machine has the problem, although because it's fine with Edius, I can't be sure it's the OS. Basically I wish for a day I can have a grown up system. Any actual fixes? Note: Even $35 BluRay players can do all this without drama.

BMD have not returned email on this as of a few weeks now.

HDMI can be a lot of drama with other hardware too, it's a mess.
