Power malfunction

PostSun Mar 24, 2013 1:53 pm

I have had my BMCC for a few days now, and a power malfunction (I don't know how else to call it) has come up. At random (or with pattern that I have not yet managed to figure out) the camera would simply not start on internal battery, even though fully charged. It would eventually turn on after inserting the external power supply, again after refusing to turn on for a while (i've had instances when this would happen for 5 minutes or half hour)... Has anyone encountered this problem? Any solutions
Thanks

I'd have thought this was a question for Blackmagic tech support not the forum?

Let us know if you speak to them and what they say.

I am sure he has contacted tech support. He is obviously trying to find out if this is a common problem or an isolated incident and is certainly posting in the right area. Those of us still siting on the fence with a hand full of cash are interested in how this thread goes forward.

Not sure why we're getting into this pedantic stuff but I don't think that's obvious at all. He's asking for solutions?

Definately interested in hearing what tech support says.

You love the personal stuff don't you Darryl?

'Pedantic' has been in my vocabulary since I was about 16.

I almost wrote 'lexicon' in the above sentance but I guess that would really have confused things? :)

Let's stay on topic.

Sorry for being too personal, and Pedantic didn't confuse me, although admittedly I had to look it up to be sure of the meaning, since I hadn't used or read the word since 8th grade.

I found it humorous that you used it is all, nothing personal. :D

Now back on the topic.
Cheers
