Fairlight Audio Streching/warping in Timeline

PostWed Apr 11, 2018 9:52 am

Hi all,
I think it would be a great addition to stretch audio event in the timeline.
Workflow could be:
1. define IN and OUT of your audio clip
2. With a key combination or a special audio warp tool stretch your clip to the length you need.
3. Selct between different option how to stretch the audio event.

Look at this video how it works in ableton Live 10:

I noticed that on the main Davinci product page on the black magic design homepage it actually mentions this under the heading "powerful mixing":

In addition, clip time warping lets you stretch or compress audio without shifting pitch. It works at the subframe level for absolutely perfect synchronization!

You can search for it if you cant find it. I was able to find this in Google when searching for "clip time warping in fairlight".

So it looks like Fairlight can already do this somehow and is able to warp/time stretch audio. But I was not able yet to find out how to do it. And I also did not see any article or post online about it.

So if anybody knows more about this and how to do it would be great to know more!
