Saving Fairlight equalizer settings

PostWed Apr 18, 2018 11:20 pm

It would be nice if there was a way to save equalizer settings for use on another clip in Fairlight. On road trips we use a Hero 3+ to record video and audio inside our vehicle. The fairlight equalizer does a great job getting rid of the low frequency road rumble noise as we're driving down the highway.

Every time I work on a new clip I have to start adjusting equalization from scratch. If I were able to save and recall equalizer presets, it would save a lot of time.

This is possible in version 15 via the Paste Attributes command.
While not a Fairlight EQ preset option per se, it is a workable solution.

Copy the audio clip with the Fairlight EQ (source) via the Command + C shortcut, and then paste to the target (destination) clip via the Option + C shortcut.

The Paste Attribute window opens, with Audio Attribute options to copy Gain (Volume in Resolve parlance), Equaliser, and Plugins from the source to the destination clips.
