Continuous Crashing

PostWed May 02, 2018 8:38 pm

Been using v12/13/14 and now full-time for over a year with few problems. With 14, the dual monitor setup would occasionally not show the second window, but a restart always cured it.

Downloaded 15b02 and it crashes every 3 to 5 minutes. No warning, just all of a sudden, none of the controls work. Have to force quit and restart. ? Anyone else having this issue? Also, when I copy a clip/still/audio from the timeline and attempting to paste it back into the timeline, it pastes at the start of the timeline regardless of where the playhead is.

Setup: Late 2013 MacPro w/AMD 500s, High Sierra 10.13.4, LG B7 OLED and Planar 27" LED.

I will try to retrieve some crash logs but is there some simple setting that I'm overlooking?

You can review this for info on how to generate diagnostic logs.

Also, what is the source clip format?

Thanks Peter
Timeline contains a few Raw and some ProRes clips from UM46 and Sony S-Log2 clips from an A7sii plus a couple of JPG stills. Video clips are 24fps.

Having better luck now: in settings I turned OFF auto save and load all timelines. I haven't had a chance to test it on a longer piece, but did a couple of short (:30s) piece today without a crash. Hallelujah ... will post an update once I try something longer.

Hope this helps
