Intermittent loss of license on Fusion dongle

PostFri May 04, 2018 3:34 pm

Every so often when I'm experimenting with Text+ titles on the Edit page, Resolve seems to lose its license, exhibiting the anti-piracy watermarks. Usually fiddling with a few parameters clears it. I haven't been able to find a repeatable circumstance that causes it. Also, it's entirely possible that it's due to a hardware problem, as my computer is waaaaay below the minimum spec. I'm licensed with a Fusion dongle.

If I can manage to reliably trigger the condition I'll report back.

Totally OT, but until recently I didn't realize Pentium is still a thing, but apparently Intel is still cranking out new Pentium CPU's.

Yeah, the modern ones don't really have much in common with the Pentiums of the earlier decade. It's branding more than anything these days. They occupy a low-performance niche for desktops below the 'i' processors and a high-performance niche for embedded/mobile above the Atom processors. Not sure how they stack up against the Celeron line.

Hi to all,

Is this happening?

It happens if I work with Resolve 15b2, if instead you only use Fusion, everything ranks OK.

Nope, I'm seeing what appears to be the anti-piracy watermark:

This time it happened when I animated the light's Dropoff parameter in the '3D Lower 3rd Multiplane Background' Title template. The artifact appears when I begin playback. It is not evident on the Fusion page, only in Edit.
