I cannot find the Display names on R15 b2

PostSun May 06, 2018 11:24 pm

I am following a Resolve tutorial that was made for 14 and for the most part I can follow along with it in 15. However in the second lesson the author has you add/edit Display names. And making the change is important to do so I don't have to cross reference the file names later in the tutorial.

My understanding is that I should right click on the header in the image below

Select Display name from the options. However Display name is not an option listed.

There is Reel Name but I wasn't able to edit that I am not sure it is the same thing. I am just guessing because of the context and where it is located on the menu.

With as little Googling I did find that in 14 there is an option to Show Display Names from the View menu but I don't see any here.

Am I missing something obvious or has this feature been renamed, deprecated or just not available in the Beta yet?

Please consider to explain in your tutorial how one can generate such names semi-automatically with variables.

It's a great feature in Resolve, often going unnoticed.
I suppose with the new default, people might use it a bit more if they know how.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
