Swap timeline and Source Viewer lag

I frequently swap timeline and source viewer to have multiple timelines open at the same time. Unfortunately there is always lag when switching back and forth. Is there a way to speed this up? Perhaps by keeping the timelines in memory or something? Maybe there is a setting?

In v15 beta, you can open multiple stacked and tabbed timelines making comparisons and cut and pasting much faster.

This is so wonderful to have multiple timelines, but unfortunately when there are a lot of clips on the timeline it lags for a few seconds swapping back and forth. Is there any way to cache the timelines so this doesn't happen?
