Resolve crashes on startup (something wrong in comp config?)

I changed something in my computer configuration (i think) thats now causing Resolve to crash when I open a "import file"/"save as"/etc window to start a project. And I mean immediately when the window opens. Ive had no problems running Resolve in the past but when I installed 15 beta it crashed on a simple task (but worked without any problems on rendering a very large file) and after that it started crashing all the time and re-installing, installing Revolve 14, etc made no differences. I think the crash log is saying my computer cant run the program but again it worked without any problems for a very long time and the crashes are on simple opening of windows and so on. Crash was caused when I tried to export a Lut - it was in the save menu screen.

I have the same problem as a lot of people posting here (like Rune Antonsen - Davinci Resolve 14.3 keeps crashing) where I had no problems with Davinci, then I installed 15 beta and now all versions dont work.

In Resolve Preferences - System - Media Storage, it seems like you have C:\Resolve in the first location, and some sort of virtual drive in the second location. Might be interesting to remove that second location, and save the prefs and restart Resolve to see what happens.

Also, it would be important to make sure the C:\Resolve path has write permission.

Are you running Resolve as an Admin user? If not, that would be something to try. You can right click the Resolve launch icon and select More, then select Run as administrator,
