Resolve 14.3 won't save my project

PostWed May 30, 2018 10:11 pm

When updating to 14.3, I had to update the data manager (?) or database, now Resolve won't save my project. There are no error codes, it won't do it. When closing the program it says the project hasn't been saved, I choose "Save" but nothing happens. When I ignore the prompt and close the program, any changes are not saved. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

What did you update from, and which exact OS are you on?

Hi Peter, I apologize, because I don't understand your question. You asked what I updated from...I'm sorry but I just don't know what that means. Two days ago I called support and begged for help because I couldn't do an insert edit. The person in customer service (I don't recall his name), was very kind but he didn't have a solution but he did suggest updating from 14.2 to 14.3. I asked if by doing this, would it muck up my current system. He said it shouldn't. I proceeded. The prompt suggested backing up something before proceeding. I did, I don't even remember what it was. Then I was prompted to update to database. I did. Now, when I turn on the system, the first screen has "databases" on the left side and the projects on the right. It never did that before. Before the update to 14.3, the first screen I would see was only a full screen of the projects. There was never a databases window. Yesterday, the system would not save any changes. Earlier today, the system saved changes that I made one time. Now, again it won't save anything.
I'm using a Macbook Pro 13 inch, 2017.
High Sierra 10.13.4
Two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Startup Disk: Untitled
Graphics Intel Iris Plus Graphics 6401536 MB

New discovery, so far I can save a project, but when autosave chimes in, that's when the system goes haywire and says it can't save and won't save.

Might be time Jeff to review the manual.
The LHS shows the databases, there are two types, Disk and PostgreSQL. You likely have Disk.

You should see the different databases. you can make another and it will add to the list.
You can also close the LHS to just see project again in the selected database.

If you did save a backup of your database prior to upgrading, then you can 'Restore' it using the button at the top of the database section.. highlighted in my screen shot.

for now. .try adding a new project and see it that saves?
if not, add a new database, then a project to see if that saves?
