Change order of Transform and Crop

PostThu May 31, 2018 2:04 am

Is there a way to change the order in wich Transform and Crop are applied?

I have stage footage taken from the side of a stage with a black background.
To correct the perspective distortion I need to apply yaw.
Then I want to crop from the top of the image parallel to the top of the frame.
However crop is applied before yaw and not after.

I don't think there is a way to change the order of operations.

But a couple of work arounds come to mind. You could next the clip with the yaw in a compound clip and then crop the compound clip. Or you could do it in the color page and set the crop with an alpha output.

Currently I have a solid color generator with a y-location in a track above it in EDIT. That should use the least amount of resources. It's just inconvenient.
