2D transform of footage position limited in inspector - b4

PostThu May 31, 2018 4:16 pm

I'm working on a collaged video from iphone footage

in the EDIT page
I am trying to move footage in the frame
starting off the edge of the canvas

if I use the position tool in the canvas I can position as I like
(off the canvas)
but the inspector only shows numbers up to a fixed number (in this case +or- 607.5

but if I try to enter in a number it is limited I want to move it to say 666.66 to put footage at the edge of frame
but it jumps to 607.5
and if I click and drag on the number it is also limited and will not leave the canvas or even make it to the edge

as an aside
in the fusion page
there seems to be no way to see or manipulate the initial positioning transform (coming from the edit page)
and the two use different mathematical scales
nor does a position transform applied in fusion show correctly in the edit page when I return there

there need to be a unified 2D transform tool
between the edit and the fusion pages!

the transform in the edit page needs to be an arbitrary number
and not fixed to some % of frame based on input sizes of source material to the size of canvas
it would also be useful for the numeral scale between edit and fusion page to be the same

what would be perhaps best is if when moving to the fusion page that the MediaIn node has the transform in it in the inspector
or automatically there is a transform node added
