beginner on Resolve 15 using MacBookPro

PostFri Jun 22, 2018 3:16 pm

hi everyone.

I am starting to edit a University project and could do with some pointers if poss!

Using Da Vinci Resolve 15 version: 15.0.0B.037

and my laptop is MacBookPro 9,2, i7.

I will be editing HD H264 1080x720 etc.

could do with any tips on getting the best settings on dealing with this so that my computer/Resolve doesn't crash on render/exporting etc.

ideally I want to get the best export possible from ProRes upwards?

like I said... I am an actual beginner, so please be kind!

any help and support would be greatly appreciated, king regards..... Julian

Do you have internal videocard with more >2 GB of memory? If not, get some external video card for rendering IMHO

It would seem that a MBP 9,2 only has Intel HD4000 graphics with 786MB of VRAM.

This is not adequate to run Resolve.
