After video loopes, I can't return back from fullscreen

PostSat Jun 23, 2018 5:52 pm

I am not sure if its a bug or if I am doing something wrong. When I am editing, I like to switch to full screen a lot, just to see how things look (ctrl f).
I can return to the workspace by pressing the escape button. However, I find that when I am in fullscreen when the timeline reaches the end, it loops to the beginning, and I can't go out of fullscreen anymore. I have to force close the app using task manager, and I loose the changes I made up till then.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

After trying hundreds of combinations -> Here is a work around.

1) SAVE the project (this still works)
2) Mouse to top of screen (middle).
3) Select a DIFFERENT PROJECT.

Thats it - you've broken out!

Everything else causes a lockup (ie most of the time you have to FORCE quit Resolve).

Now, that's helpful... So far made it only to the "saving" part. Need to try it next time!

When you are stuck in FULL screen:

1) Save project
2) Mouse to top of screen -> File -> New Project

You are now Broken out (of being Trapped)

3) Media Pool -> Select old Project (answer 'No' to Saving the 'Untitled' project)

You are now back to where you were in your Project where the BUG trapped you!

When it happens to me there are no options to save the project or open a new one. Only the Qualifier highlight button, split screen and that third button (I forget what it is) and none of them do anything when you click them. Mind you the only time I get stuck in this loop is when I try to exit fullscreen while a clip is playing. If I stop the clip first, then exit, it exits with no problem.
