I doubt it's a "super standard multicam wf"... I've been making multicam for ages and the super standard behaviour is to click - live - on the chosen angle during playback, during the time you choose to. Then it results in a TL with different clips, and
now you may switch from a multicam angles view to a basic view to fine tune your prior clicks. This sounds more like a standard wf imho.
