Retimed clip not exported as expected

PostWed Jun 27, 2018 9:43 am

Hi there,

I tried the search but couldn't find a thing about it, so I though I'd ask.

I have a timeline with some non-linear retimes that gets exported as individual clips. Usually this works flawless, it gives me the range I need (plus handles) and everything is fine.
Now I encountered an issue with non-linear retimes that "go back in time" on a certain point.
Let's say I have it set so the retime curve is keyframed like this:
00:00:01:00 - 00:00:10:00 - 00:00:05:00

When I export it, it ignores the furthest point in time and only renders the range 00:00:01:00 to 00:00:05:00 (plus handles). That's a bug in my book.

Any way to get around that without altering all the retimes manually before export?

Best,
Lucas

... an open bug-tracker and paid maintenance support, those are two things I'd really love to get from BMD... :)

Have you tried submitting a support question to BMD?

I did, no answer so far. That actually matches my experiences with support so far, unfortunately :(
That's where a serious, paid support would be nice.

Hi,

Which version of Davinci Resolve?
Studio or Free?
Which OS?

Maybe :

Hi there Jaun Claude,

we are still on the latest 12.5 but I verified the same behaviour in the latest 14. Tested on OSX. I'm afraid I can't give you exact version numbers atm as I'm not at work anymore.

I just tested at home with v15.0.0B.057 on Windows 10 Pro, same behaviour.
Each time Studio version, of course :)

I know these details are important, sorry for forgetting them earlier. As it exacly exports the in/out points from the timeline, ignoring the travel of the curve, I have a feeling that it's "intended" behaviour :/

Hi,
If you have the Studio version: if you contacted BMD: you have to wait for the best answer. :)

Or any answer at all, hm :/

It's a shame there's no real support for this software :(
