PostgreSQL database server setup

Is there documentation on how to setup an external PostgreSQL database server on a mac? I could not find it.
W10-19043.1645- Supermicro MB C9X299-PGF - RAM 128GB CPU i9-10980XE 16c 4.3GHz (Oc) Water cooled - 12x8TB SSD RAID5 internal (80TB)
Decklink Studio 4K (12.4.1)
Resolve 19.1.3 / fusion studio 19

If you’re using the Resolve installer, it’s an option in the wizard—easy to miss, unfortunately.

If you’re just setting up a headless server, the relevant Terminal commands are in the 12.5 manual—they removed these in the 14 manual, instead pointing folks toward the GUI Project Server app.
