I'm Having a different Issue with v.15.057b My preview moniter is black, what can I do? Kindly Guide me.

I have the same issue. Can't see any video on any clip that I place on the timeline. Thumbnails are also black. I've tried clips from my GoPro, Canon EOS550D, rendered video from blender and random sample clips from the web. Debian Buster. NVIDIA GTX 1050.

Update to my own issues: I tried converting my media to 'prores' which made it work. It is however somewhat unfortunate that media that can't be decoded do appear as selectable. Looking at the table of supported formats also indicates that the media should work, but no luck here.
It's very hard to help with limited system details. Based on the "Debian buster" comment in your SIG, are you running Resolve on Linux? Resolve on Linux will not decode H.264 files unless you are using the Studio version. Is it possible that the files you listed as not working are H.264 files?
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I was/am using the free version initially just to see whether or not it seems to be working correctly on my system before buying ( I have now purchased it and am waiting for the activation key to be shipped). It sounds comforting to hear that the h264 should work in the Studio version. Can't wait to try it out!
Just installed Resolve Studio 15 and added tutorial files that I found on the same SD card. All I can see are thumbnails but just black screen in preview windows. I'm new to DaVinci so maybe I'm doing something wrong here. I'm working on a brand new PC running: Windows 10 i7-8700K 32GB RAM GTX1070
We need a Resolve log file (Resolve Help menu - Create Diagnostic Log on Desktop) and a Windows System Information .NFO file. Open Windows System Information and do a File - Save.
Then you need to post those 2 files to a file sharing site and provide links to the files here.
I have no idea why my Windows can't export nfo properly. I keep trying and the file is always corrupted :/ Ehh
Anyway problem solved My monitor wasn't plugged directly into the graphics card but to the extra HDMI slot on the PC case. Plugging it in to the card solved the problem immediately.
