BUG - Parallel Node Shortcut

PostSun Jun 24, 2018 10:05 pm

Resolve Studio 15.0.0B.057

Possible Bug -

I have all shortcuts mapped as defaults, the usual "option+p" shortcut for creating Parallel nodes does not seem to work. I can create Layer, outside, Serial and what not using the defaults of "option + L/O/S", but have to go through either the file menu or contextual menu to add a new parallel node.

OSX 10.1.5

I can't see this with the default mapping.

Could you go to Preferences > User > Keyboard Mapping and check for any other shortcuts with P please? If there are conflicts a Warning sign will be shown next to the hotkeys.

Working here in 15b5 on Windows 10 Pro (1709).
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

So after getting the same results with the newly dropped Beta6, I double checked and it seems that I had some custom shortcuts set. Once I went back to Davinci Resolve Defaults it worked, then I went back to a custom set, made sure that New Parallel Node was still set to "option-p" and it doesn't not work. Something with custom settings is preventing it from working. I even manually remapped the function to "option-p" with no joy.

Thank you! I will stick with the program defaults for now.
