3rd Party Plugins

PostMon Jul 09, 2018 4:10 pm

Quite possibly a dumb question, but I cannot find the answer anywhere. I'm still running v14 (free version) as I wait for 15 to come out of beta. I may take the plunge and buy the full boat down the road, but as a recreational videographer am still wrestling if I need the bells and whistles to justify the investment. Anyway, my question is pretty straightforward ...

Are they available (if so, where?) and is it possible to install third party fx plugins in the free version of resolve?

Thanks.

If you do a Google search for "plugins for resolve" you'll find plenty.

Also note that Fairlight works with standard VST and AU audio plugins as well, so it's not just video plugins but audio as well.
Resolve 19 Studio, M2 MacBook Air with 24 gigs of RAM; also Mac Pro 3.0 GHz 8-core, 32 gigs RAM, dual AMD D700 GPU.

Paul Dore's excelent OFX are free, as as some decent OFX from HitFilm

every free Resolve install should have both given the matching price point ;-)

Awesome! Thanks guys. I made the switch from Premiere to Resolve about a year ago, and it just gets better every day! I haven't looked back. I was certain that the free version wouldn't allow any upgrades. Mind blown. Thanks again.
