Beta crashing

PostSat Jul 14, 2018 9:05 pm

Just downloaded Resolve 15 beta a few days ago. I haven't been able to successfully start a project. And I haven't been able to create a log of the crash either.

It loads up the databases & projects screen just fine. But when I try to open the default "Untitled Project" project or create a new project, it crashes. So, I'm not able to get to an actual project to set up logs.

I thought it might be because I only have about 3 gigs of HD space on the drive that it was installed on? I've added a new database that's on another drive full of space, and that hasn't helped.

STATS:
Windows 10 Pro 64
i7-3930 @ 3.2 GHz
16 gigs of ram
Display card 1: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1 gig of ram

I also have 2 other display cards tied in:
Radeon RX Vega - 8 gigs of ram each

The weak little GeForce card is the one that I have tied into my display - so maybe it's that? For instance, it seems that Adobe Premiere is only using the GeForce card for any live processing - and doesn't kick in the Vega's until I'm actually exporting/encoding a video.

Please physically remove the gtx480.
You also don’t mention which beta?

I am having a similar problem, however, Resolve 15 launches and loads LOCAL projects properly but crashes when I attempt to launch with an external 6TB drive attached that contains many projects created in 12.5.

Uninstalled and reinstalled today with no effect.

Did you switch databases?
You can export projects from one database and import to another, but you can't have two databases at the same time.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
