Hello, I’m having an issue with a crashed project.
I’m using 15.0.0B.065. I updated to it on 7/15/18 and the crash occurred on 7/21/18. I have been unable to open the project since then. I have reverted the computer to the state it was prior to the failure of the project and bumped Resolve back to 15.b4, neither have shown to have an effect on the issue.
I'm on Windows 10.
Other projects open fine from the database, which leads me to assume there is a possible corruption in the project. As a side note I do have a version of the project that was saved on a secondary database directly prior to updating to 15 from 14 back in April, which lacks the last 4 months of work.
The instance of the crash on 7/21/18 happened while I was doing ADR work. The organization of the project is a bit sloppy, but not a mess, I had done a great deal of ADR recording in the past 4 months and barring a few other issues and crashes things ran smoothly. When this serious crash happened I had been recording ADR with an actor on a few timelines. We had finished one timeline, moved to the next timeline in the next bin and recorded a couple lines. I clicked on the next ADR file, hit rehearse and as it started to play the underlying original audio messed up and the program crashed. From then on it would not reopen.
I open the project manager, double click or right click and select ’open’ on the project, it loads (usually to 99%) and then crashes. When this crash occurs it just disappears; no dialog box, no crash report.
I have made DRP backups periodically and none of them work. My last DRP file was from 7/9/18, the last day I had worked on the project prior to updating to 15.b6. But I also have backup DRP files from 6/3/18 and 4/17/18 neither of which load. When I try and import them I get a FAILURE box (failed to open archive). I also have a DRP file from 4/12/18 which is the last DRP file I have prior to updating to 15. That DRP file will load to 99% and then crash Resolve. It does give me a unexpected crash report window. I have recently sent that report in with my name and email attached.
Nothing seems to work on this project and I’m looking for help on getting it back up as is or at least the 7/9/18 DRP.
