Just a quick question to confirm what I think I already found out.
Currently running version Resolve v12.5.4.019 at a post house and looking in to some conform options for 4K footage.
The workflow I was asked to try and figure out was taking 4096x2160 .mxf masters from a C300 (shot at 25fps) and running them through the in house Teranex to conform them to 23.976 for edit.
***(Quick note: the hardware setup here is a 2014 mac mini running El Capitan 10.11.8 going thunderbolt out via an UltraStudio MiniMonitor > HDMI out from MiniMonitor in to a Teranex AV > HDMI out of TNEX in to an UltraStudio MiniRecorder > Thunderbolt out of Recorder in to a Late 2015 iMac running El Capitan 10.11.6)***
The main question is this: they have a ton of 4096 x 2160 C300 footage shot at 25fps that they want converted to 23.976 for edit. From what I've found (and experienced while demonstrating), the Teranex can only output 3840 x 2160 UHD and neither BMD Media Express nor our current version of Resolve can capture footage at anything above 1080p60.
I need to discuss what they want to do on Monday and want to make certain whether this conform idea of theirs is even doable. Is 4K capture something that's feasible with the hardware / software they currently have?
Does v14 or 15 of Resolve feature 4K capture? Is there a version of Media Express that can handle this? (Currently running v3.5.5)
This kind of thing is not my area of expertise so thanks for the help.
