Expected life cycle of Davinci Resolve Studio

PostThu Aug 02, 2018 6:20 pm

Hi.

Testing Resolve 15b. Love it. I am a solo freelancer so costs need to be carefully considered.

My question is - if I buy the $300 studio for v14 - how many versions does that cover, and/or what sort of time mileage do I get out of that one version purchase (ie. "you're good for about 2 years of updates").

Also, does it go up a version every year?

Thanks
Lucy

Lucy, BMD has continued to upgrade current license holders every year free of charge for as long as... for many years and hasn’t hinted at any paid updates in spite of integrating Fairlight and now Fusion! Dive in, the water’s fine!

Even better, buy the new BMPCC4K for $1,295 and the full Studio is included for free!

They charged me once when they acquired Resolve years ago. This is not Adobe!
