This is quite strange. I've spent several days editing a project, happily adding clips from the media bin to the edit timeline, trimming, rearranging, etc.. As I've gone along, I've saved a few intermediate projects as waypoints, which is fortuitous because...now when I drag a clip from the media bin to the edit timeline, there is no video! The audio shows up on the audio track, but there is nothing showing on the video tracks. This is with clips that have already worked! And if I go back to any of the previously saved versions of the project, these same clips work fine (both audio and video show when I drag them to the edit timeline).
I assume I've accidentally changed some setting in the latest project. But I can't find anything that says "ignore video" or "only audio" or anything like that.
Hello, Rick, make sure that your video has a Track Destination Selection—you can see if it is or is not by a red outline around one of the V1 in the header of the track. Please refer to the manual chapter 13 and on for detailed information on the Edit page operation.
Wow! That is exactly the issue. Obviously I clicked the destination control without knowing what it meant. It's odd that your mouse doesn't decide which track gets the video (and the corresponding audio track would get the audio).
Ok im like a real wally - the HDMI on my screen was connect to the default GPU and need to be plugged into my Nvidia port. Simple solutions sometimes!!!
Please Help ! I import my clips or my files into the media pool and I drag it to the timeline but I cannot see the video in the viewer or (preview) its just Black as if I haven't put anything in the timeline I can only see it in the media pool. Also I only can only hear the video I have imported but not see it. ALSO i made sure the V1 and A1 source patch were on and still nothing. Please help me fix this ! Thank you ! I've tried everything, from uninstalling it, looking at videos, trying other clips, having someone else try to help.If you have any suggestions please let me know or if you know a YouTube video that explains how to fix this please comment back or email me
