Copy Fusion Composition to Additional Clips

PostMon Aug 13, 2018 4:08 pm

I may be dumb for asking this, however I saw in the Press Release (https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/media/ ... 0180813-01) that you can:
Fusion compositions can now be copied and applied to additional clips.

How? It's not the simple copy the composition nodes and then past them in a new fusion clip is it? If I'm reading this right I can be on the edit page and copy the clip and then past the composition into a new clip?

I ask because I have some menu graphics I've created for a TV loop for a client. Occasionally I need to update the graphics, and instead of copying the clip and replacing the clips in the timeline I'd like to know if I can simply copy the updated composition and past that on the clips in the timeline.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

P.S. I love that DaVinci Resolve 15 is now shipping and is out of beta. It's been a blast playing with the beta version.

You can do it by making sure you can see the clips in the Fusion tab. You then middle click on the clip you want to copy the comp to, then you middle click on the clip you want to copy from.
